A sensor link directs measurements to the correct device's, or Spot's, attributes. Make sure the IoT connection is enabled and the Spot has the required attributes.
- Open the Spot's details and the action for linking a sensor.
- Select the sensor type and enter its DevEUI.
- Map the sensor's fields to the correct Spot attributes.
- Check field data types and any tag requirement.
- Save the link and open the linked sensor's details.
- Check the time of the received measurement and, if needed, network details.
A field producing numeric values needs a suitable numeric attribute. If the sensor configuration uses the Spot's tag, the Spot must have a tag before linking. Complete missing information in the Spot's details first.
A saved link does not by itself show that the sensor has sent a new measurement. Check the timestamp before treating a value as current.
When replacing a sensor or removing a link, check the correct Spot and identifier. An incorrect mapping may direct measurements to another device.
