A folder's customer links the folder structure to a customer in the customer register. A folder tag identifies the folder. A tag intended for an individual device, or Spot, is linked in that Spot's own details.
You need permission to edit the folder. The customer and tag must be available for selection in the system.
Select the folder's customer
- Open Folder tree in the browser and click the folder name.
- Open the form's customer details.
- Select a customer in Customer of the folder.
- Save the folder form by selecting Save.
A change to the folder's customer also applies to its subfolders. Before saving, check whether the entire subfolder structure belongs to the same customer. A new subfolder inherits its customer from its parent.
Save customer information saves changes to the customer record. Use it only when you intend to change the actual customer details. Selecting a customer link and changing the customer's contact information are separate actions.
The folder is the delivery customer is a separate option related to delivery customer details. You do not need to use it just to select the folder's customer.
Link a tag to the folder
- Find Tag on the folder form.
- Search for the tag by its surface number and select it.
- Select Save.
- Reopen the folder if needed and check the selection.
Make sure the tag is intended for this folder. If you cannot find it, check the surface number and whether it is already linked elsewhere. Ask your administrator to investigate the link before changing it.
