Many tables have their own functions for saving views and exporting data. First, filter the list whose data you need.

  1. Open the table you want and filter the data.
  2. Arrange the columns and sort the data to suit your needs.
  3. Select Save view and give it a name if you want to reuse the same layout.
  4. Use Select saved view to open it later.
  5. Select Export view to Excel and check the downloaded file.

In browser interface tables that have a menu arrow next to the Folder column heading, you can also choose how folders are sorted. Open the menu using the arrow and select:

  • Full folder path: sorts the data by the full folder path, starting from the root folder.
  • Folder name only: sorts the data by the folder name alone.

Sort the table by the Folder column by clicking its heading. If the table is already sorted by this column, changing the sorting method updates the order. The selected sorting method is stored in the saved view and restored when you reopen it. Make your selection before saving the view.

Check the columns, row count and date range in the file before processing it further. Exporting a view and separately exporting all data may not include the same data. Use the more comprehensive export only if the function in question offers it, and wait for any background export to finish.

Return default view helps you return to the table's original layout. Save any custom view you need before restoring the default.

A saved view retains viewing settings; it is not a fixed copy of the data. If you need the results from a particular point in time for later comparison, also keep the export file you have checked.
