Warehouse settings control what happens when stock is insufficient for a planned deduction. Agree the procedure with the warehouse's responsible person before changing it.

  1. Open warehouse service settings.
  2. Check Not enough balance of product in purchase batch.
  3. Review cases with a selected purchase batch separately from those without one.
  4. Select the handling method matching your organisation's policy and save.
  5. Open Recipients of Warehouse Exception Event Notifications.
  6. Add email addresses and select monitored warehouses for each. Save.

The setting can determine whether missing quantities are taken from other batches or slots or remain undeducted. Read the full explanation before enabling an option.

A notification highlights an exception, but the recipient must investigate the event and balance. If none arrive, check addresses and warehouse selections. If frequent, investigate receipt and usage recording practices before reducing notifications.
