A device card's History shows fields being added and removed. Use it to find out, for example, when a new field was added to a shared device card or when a field was removed.
Open device card history
- Open Device cards in the browser.
- Find the device card and open its details.
- Select the History tab.
- Check the time, Event, attribute and Made by information.
The newest events appear first. Filter the list by date range, attribute name or person. The Event filter lets you select added or removed fields.
This history helps you investigate a device card's structure. It does not list field values for all devices, nor does it restore removed fields or their previous values.
Looking for a change to one Spot's value?
To find when a device's serial number changed, for example, open that Spot and select the history icon beside the field. This shows the old and new values for that particular Spot.
Adding a device card field and changing a Spot's field value are different events. Choose the history view according to whether you are investigating the shared field structure or an individual device's information.
If you cannot find the expected event, first check that you have the correct device card and clear unnecessary filters. Do not treat device card history as a complete log of all changes to names, descriptions or field order: this view covers adding and removing fields.
