Open the entry details and check the user, date and any associated task or service request. Editing requires the appropriate permission.
- Find the entry in Working time monitoring or in the hours recorded for the associated work.
- Open the entry for editing.
- Correct the start time and end time or the log type. Check the dates as well as the times.
- Save and verify that the duration and daily summary reflect the correction.
In the browser, you can review changes to the entry on the History tab in the Update log window. By default, History shows events from the last month. Adjust the date range if needed and expand an event's subrows to see the changed details and their old and new values. History also shows when the change was made and who made it, if that information is available.
On mobile, similarly open your own entry from the day's recorded hours and use its editing function. The changes available depend on the entry's status and your permissions.
On Android, you can also add, edit or delete a comment on a worktime, task or service request entry. Open View Comment or Add Comment, make the change and save the entry. On iOS, you can add or edit a comment using the same controls when the comment function is visible while editing the entry.
An approved entry cannot be changed directly. A user with permission to approve entries must first revoke the approval in the browser and save the change. Only then should you correct the entry and submit it for approval again according to your organisation's practices.
An entry marked Processed is locked. Deleting an approved or processed entry is also blocked. Consult the person responsible for processing the entry to determine how to correct it.
If the entry is unnecessary and deletion is allowed, select Delete and review the confirmation before accepting it. Deletion removes the entry, so use editing as the primary way to correct times.
Saving may also be blocked by an overlapping worktime entry or an excessive duration. Check the error message and the other entries for the same day.
When correcting a lunch, sick leave or vacation entry, also take into account the maximum duration allowed for that absence type. A user cannot have two entries of the same absence type on the same day. No other worktime entries can start on a vacation day. If a night shift continues into the first vacation day, it must be followed by 24 hours of uninterrupted time off work for each consecutive vacation day.
