You can attach a photograph or operating instructions to a device, or Spot. First open the correct Spot and check its name. Adding files requires permission and a working connection while saving.

  1. Open the Spot's files and the action for adding a file.
  2. Select a picture or file from your phone, or take a new photo. Grant the required camera or file permission if prompted.
  3. Give the file a descriptive name or enter the title requested by the app.
  4. Select a file folder if you want to place the attachment in an existing folder on the Spot.
  5. Save and wait for the upload to finish.
  6. Reopen the file list and check that the attachment is on the correct Spot and in the correct folder.

File selection looks different on Android and iOS. Use your phone's picture or file picker. If you select several pictures, check that every upload finishes.

You can create a new file folder while adding a file when the app offers that action. Name the folder and check that it is selected before saving the file. This is a folder for the Spot's attachments, not a folder containing devices in the folder tree.

If uploading fails, check your connection and permissions. Look in the file list to see whether the file was already saved before sending it again. For more extensive file moves and reorganisation, follow the browser instructions.
