A public form lets a customer report a fault in a device, or Spot, without signing in to Spotilla. You need permission to manage service request settings.
- Open Public forms in settings and select Create new public form.
- Enter the Address of the form. Do not use spaces; use underscores if needed.
- Select the Status and enter a Description that identifies the form.
- Set a Password if desired.
- Add service request types and their Spot selections. Select at least one type.
- Save and open the form's address to check it.
If the password is empty, anyone who knows the address can use the form without a password. A protected form asks for the password before displaying it.
The selected folders determine which Spots users can choose for each service request type. Check that the selections match the intended scope and the devices are active.
Also check the type's description, required additional fields and whether a Spot is mandatory. A custom public form's types are selected in its own settings; the default form's public visibility setting alone does not determine this list.
Before sharing the address, check the visible options and service request handler roles. Having a form does not establish who in your organisation is responsible for incoming requests.
