A service request type defines the request's information and handling process. Configure it in the browser using an account with access to service request settings.

  1. Open service request types in the settings and create a type.
  2. Enter a Name, Order and optional Description. Order controls the selection list's order.
  3. Select Selecting a Spot is a required field if needed.
  4. Configure After transferring to tasks. Choose whether the request completes immediately, after all tasks finish or manually later.
  5. Add Additional fields and mark mandatory ones with Required field.
  6. Configure handling roles and visibility, then save.

Additional fields can collect a device's fault type or other information needed for handling. Choose a suitable field type and a name the reporter can understand.

If enabling the type on mobile or a public form, check those visibility settings separately. The browser handling role does not determine all creation and viewing rights.

Be careful when removing an additional field: the application warns that its values will be deleted from service requests using it. A field being unnecessary for new requests does not mean its old data is unnecessary.
