A mobile role determines which devices, or Spots, a user can view and work with. Create or edit the role in the browser as an administrator.

  1. Open the mobile user role, enter a name and select the users.
  2. Select Role grants permissions for folders and other content.
  3. Select the folders the users need to access.
  4. Set the permissions for folders and Spots, messages, reservations and attachments.
  5. If needed, add separate permissions for products, warehouses, customers and contact persons. In the Permissions for Products row, select the required Create, Read and Edit permissions. Delete cannot be selected for products.
  6. Save and check the content of the correct tenancy in the mobile app.

Permissions for Products and Permissions for Warehouses are configured separately. Warehouse permissions alone do not grant permission to view, create or edit products. Read permission for products also grants access to the product's files. Product and warehouse functions require the warehouse feature to be enabled for the tenancy.

Existing mobile roles have been given product create, read and edit permissions corresponding to their warehouse permissions. Check both permission rows when editing an existing role.

On Android and iOS, displaying the button for adding a new product also requires the Create permission in the Permissions for Warehouses row. Saving the product still requires product create permission. If the add button is missing, check both permissions.

Tag read only is a restricted permission. It is not equivalent to the normal permission to browse and edit all Spots in the folder tree.

Transfer From only warehouses allows a limited warehouse transfer. It does not grant the same permissions as full warehouse event management, which includes, for example, inventory and purchases.

If a user can see a Spot but cannot see a task or service request, also check the separate settings and responsible roles for those functions. Folder visibility alone does not determine all permissions for individual jobs.

When the same user belongs to several roles, check their user details for the full picture. Do not infer their final permissions from a single role.
