Open the product register in the browser. Search before creating a product to avoid duplicate records for the same spare part.
- Search by Name or Code.
- Filter by additional name, EAN code or category if needed.
- Open the product and check its code and storage unit.
- Open Product information and check its additional fields.
- Check manufacturer, vendors and linked Spots as needed.
Card view also supports searching by product information values. This helps when you know a part's dimensions or another stored property but not its code.
Categories group similar products. Product information describes individual properties, such as text or numeric values. With editing permission, you can complete and save these details.
When editing dimensions, also check Measure unit. A number alone does not distinguish millimetres from metres.
If a product is missing, clear unnecessary category filters and check visibility of disabled products. Identically named products may be different parts; verify the code before linking one to a Spot or task.
